Video games are often associated with children and immaturity. Perhaps this is because the arcades of old were filled with kids playing fairly simple games— both in terms of pixelated gameplay and narrative. Even these days, the types of video games that get the most attention are directed at kids; even if you've never played Roblox and Among Us, you've probably come across ads or merchandise of the franchises.

However, some people don't seem to realize that many video games are not for children. Some are even rated M for Mature due to their very adult content. There are also games aimed at adults that are not necessarily graphic. However, they have complex storylines and narratives, rich, multi-layered characters, and cerebral themes that would simply go over any child's head.  
When our protagonist in today's story gets himself a PS5, his girlfriend assumes that he is going to turn into a brainless zombie. So, she takes matters into her own hands, which ultimately leads to the demise of their relationship.
